We are looking for a Site Manager to join our team at our Reading, PA location.

Services provided at this site include slag processing and metal recovery, scrap yard management and charge loading, barge unloading and loading, rail operations, slab handling, scarfing, trailer spotting and other services.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary site leader, responsible for overseeing 24/7/365 operations, maintenance and ensuring the site is operating safely, in compliance with customer contractual requirements, and applicable local, state and federal regulations (i.e. OSHA, DEP, EPA, etc.)
  • Responsible for direct interface with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and other third parties.
  • Financial management of site operations, to include profit & loss responsibility, expense management, capital investment and focus on seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue growth
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company operating and maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Manages staffing, leadership, motivation, training, and, when necessary, employee discipline.

Site Manager Qualifications:

  • Five years of operations management experience in the steel (mill and scrap operations), aggregate, construction or other related industries
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have experience managing mobile equipment preventive maintenance programs, direct experience managing mobile equipment fleet maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience with OSHA regulations and management of general HSE programs and policies.
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
  • Project management, planning and the ability to develop a business plan
