Someone once asked our Founder, President/CEO Edward Freedman, why he chose this particular location for the headquarters of Total Merchant Services. He answered, “Where else can you get to enjoy 52 vacations a year, one each weekend!”

Our large, modern facility is ideally situated in the heart of the scenic Roaring Fork Valley. This small mountain community is anchored by two of largest and well-known ski resorts in the country, Aspen and Snowmass. Ed and his brother, Matt, also a co-founder, first came to know this area on family vacations when they were very young. It left an indelible mark in their minds. From the first day Total Merchant Services opened for business in 1996, these two visionaries were committed to creating a successful company that offered its staff an unequalled work experience in a community that represented the best America had to offer. They have certainly realized that dream in Basalt, Colorado.
